Yay, I made it to finally finish this mini series! Man, it took forever, lol:))
I have a set of quick & easy birthday cards and even though after I finished the cards I saw other cards using the same idea, I still want to share them and hopefully bring you some inspiration.
The idea for these cards was to stretch a bit the stamps that are in this set, so I took the big balloon stamp and used it to create some flowers. I like to include at least one project using the ”stretch your stamps’ idea, as I did for the last month’s kit also, as I believe it is a great way to give more value to my stamps. I first stamped the centers of the flowers so I could have a guide for positioning the petals and chose various dye and pigment inks to create my huge flowers.
I tried various colors before deciding which to use and if you want to try this technique, I could say that this works best with inks that are not too dark, so you can get that petal overlaying transparency there. Once the petals were all stamped, I went back and re-stamped the center but this time with Versamark Ink and did some embossing with silver & gold powders.
To make my petals pop a bit more I used a white gel pen and made a dashed line all around the edges. Next I added the sentiment, a couple of sequins for some of the cards, aswell as a bit of Glossy Accents to the center of the flowers.
Thank you all for being here and will see you soon with a new mini-series for the new Fall season:)
