SSS June 2015 Card Kit Day 5

Here I am with the 5th and last project using the SSS June 2015 Card kit. I know it took quite long, it’s July already, but my kit arrived a bit late than usual and that delayed my entire schedule:)

For this last card I played around with the washi tape that is included in the kit and covered a strip of cardstock with it. I then trimmed some squares out of it and popped them onto my card with foam tape. As you can see there are other decorations on those squares there that I added with some stamps and did white embossing. I was afraid that my washi will melt when I heat set the powder, but luckily it didn’t, lol.

I did some more stamping on the card base using the small stamps from the stamp set and decorated my card with colorful sequins.

SSS June 2015 Card Kit Day 2 & Video

Hey all!

As mentioned yesterday, I will have several blog posts with projects using the SSS June 2015 Card Kit. Will have links at the end of the post to all the items in this kit. Today I have 2 quick cards to share with you. They are a bit similar, but with a small twist:)

For both my cards I used the tiny border stamp that’s in this set and created a rainbow pattern. I then stamped and embossed the Smile right on top of my pattern there. I added a bit of shimmer with my Wink of Stella and untill this point both cards are pretty much the same.

On my first card I added some extra embellishments, like the lovely sequins you see here and also a sticker flower from the card kit. I then stamped my greeting with black ink and this turned into a birthday card.

The second card has a bit of a twist, meaning that I trimmed out the rainbow pattern and adhered it with foam to the back so I had a bit of dimension and also to create a space for my cute sun that I tucked underneath. I stamped the glasses on the sun and covered it all with shimmer:) And this second card turned out to be an encourgement card with the help of that cute word stamp. Have to say that this stamp set has a lot of tiny great sentiments that work for many occasions.
