Autumn Blessings / Fall Theme Day 2

Happy Friday, everyone!

Here is the second day of the mini-series fall inspired cards. For today’s project I pulled out some old dies & color mediums that I barely used and had a lot of fun making this card:)

I started by die-cutting some leaves and the pumpkin out of cream cardstock and used my distress paints to quickly add color to them. Coloring with distress paint has to be the fastest way to add color onto die cuts:) I also used several distress inks to add a bit of shading here and there.

Once my die cuts were all dried, I created my card base out of cream cardstock that I just looove. This particular one is from Simon Says Stamp and it is my favorite cardstock from their collection. Simply gorgeous! I used a stripe stamp and embossed it with gold powder right on the front of my card. Next I scattered some splashes of gold paint with a brush and glued down the leaves and the pumpkin.

As you can see, I added some white splashes onto my pumpkin, just because I needed a bit of contrast close to the leaves and also stamped the sentiment right on top. Of course, to finish all up, I added a couple of sequins that I chose in the same colors of my layout.

I really like how it turned out, and most of all I am sooo happy I could play with my distress paints! 🙂

You can watch the how-to video right below or HERE on my Youtube channel!

Thx for stopping by and see you soon with a new project!
