It’s been so long from my last post, it seems forever to me! It is been a crazy week here and soon will start the madness of moving to our new home, I don’t even want to think about it:)
So I’m gonna put that aside and share my project for today. I recently received my 36 set of ZIG Clean Color Brush markers and all the time that I spent waiting for the set, I kept thinking how I am going to store the markers. So once it arrived I tried various ways to make a system that worked for me and in the end I decided to put the numbers of the colors on the caps and make a swatch of all the colors on a piece of watercolor cardstock that I just taped on the plastic container that comes with the set.
This way I had a lot of space to lay the initial color of each marker and also blend the colors with water. I also decided to keep the packaging as it is and store my markers in it without going crazy and search for a new storage bin or something like that. The plastic is sturdy enough, I can keep my markers closed in it safely and I am more than happy each time I can recycle packagings:) I will have a link to the die that I used to die cut all those tiny circles that I glued on the caps.
For today’s card I used a floral stamp set from SSS, I stamped the flowers onto my watercolor cardstock and picked three markers to color them in. I also used a wash of blue to add color to the background. Next, I embossed a polka dot pattern onto a piece of vellum and I did that with white powder. I also added some thin scalloped strips of paper to both sided of my vellum, just to make it pop a bit more.
After I glued everything down, I added the main sentiment with a die from Lawn Fawn and white embossed the rest with the same white powder. Added some clear sequins and my card was all done.
I have the how-to video right below or you can watch it HERE on my Youtube channel.
Thank you all for dropping by!
