Bold Coloring with ZIG & Foiling

Hey,all

I have a quick project to share with you today. I did this bold colored flower card with some of my ZIG markers and also did some gold foiling in there, yay!

So I started off with a piece of watercolor paper on which I stamped my flower with the Versafine black. To create my cluster I masked the flower and did some more stamping with the flowers and the leaves included in this gorgeous stamp set by SSS called Always & Forever.

Next I moved onto coloring, and used 3 ZIG markers. At first when I received that fluo pink marker I was pretty scared like I was thinking ”what am I going to do with this strong strong color?” so I gave it a try today for this flower here and I loooove how it turned out! This had to be one of the quickest coloring I ever did, these markers do all the job for you and blend very nicely with eachother. For my sentiment I used a piece of double-sided adhesive sheet that I covered with some gold foil that I had laying around my craft room. I just put the foil on top of the adhesive and pressed in with a bone folder to smooth it out.  Next I used a die and cut my sentiment from the foiled strip of paper. It is not as smooth as I saw gold foiling done with a laminator, but that’s what I had and it was fun to try it out anyway:)

For embellishing my card I used some clear sequins and also added a bit of Glossy Accents onto the stems of the flowers. And once that this is dry it will add a lovely dimension. Oh, and I also die cut a small tiny heart from the left over foiled piece and adhered that down to kind of tie everything together.

So that is for today. I have a video that you can watch over at my Youtube channel too, click HERE if you want to see it there:)

Here are the supplies I used and I thank you all for being here today!
