Simon Says Stamp Village Die

Hello everyone!

I hope you all had a great Christmas with your loved ones and that Santa brought you everything you wished for:)

Today I have a fun card to share with you. For this particular project I used the Simon Says Stamp Village die. I so wanted to have this die and I am so happy that I finally got it! It is absolutely lovely! It dosen’t cut the bottom side of the houses so you can use the die cut pieces to create pop-up cards or you can cut slopes and hills between the trees and houses. So unique 🙂

And as I found a great challenge over at Simon Says Stamp Flickr Club, I decided to make this card and enter it in the challenge. The theme is something new for the New Year. Me and my husband are waiting for the papers for our new house and we are so happy and anxious to finally get them in January:)

I also have a video showing how I made this card. And because when I made the first card I had only one patterned paper with the cute airplanes, in the video I used a different piece of patterned paper, but the process is all the same.

So here is my card for this challenge

I first cut the houses & the trees from a piece of white cardstock and then paper pieced them with some colored cardstock. I then cut two hills strips using the SSS Slopes & Hills die and placed them onto the little houses. The patterned paper was cut to the size of my card, and that is 10.5 cm x 14 cm and I adhered it with double side adhesive tape.

I stamped my sentiment using the Memento Tuxedo Black and added a small red heart right next to it.

The patterned paper did not have all those cute red hearts, I just stamped them here and there.:)

For a bit of shimmer I used the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Gel  and added it all over my houses and trees.

I so like it how this card came out and I had so much fun in making it.

Here are some photos of the second card I made using a different patterned paper.
